A cake is a spell, no two are alike!
Rosalee Bernabe is a visual artist from Whittier, CA. She works across mediums, primarily in the realms of sculpture, lens-based media, bookmaking, and food. Her work draws from personal archives, tracing the many intersections of myth, place, materiality, and ritual.
You may also know her as the creator and operator of Chariot, a rogue microbakery and psychic cake project based in Los Angeles. Chariot borrows its name from the tarot card—its energy is Cancer-ruled, lunar, always in transit, and steeped in the spirit of transformation. You can view her ephemeral sculptures in Vogue, T Magazine, and on Instagram.
